The concept of the holobiont extends to a central organism, like a human being, to include the group of microorganisms in, on and around it. Holobiont theory recognizes the unseen wrinkle of microbial life, then folds it back into an observable eukaryote. This allows people to APPRECIATE eukaryotic organisms in a fuller context that challenges evolutionary theory by allowing the branches of the tree of life to intersect.

I love the species , microbes , and bionts that are me? even though I have no idea how my body works. Imagining cute little Gut Microbiata chillin in our non harmful coexistence, swirling around to insure we don’t fail, makes me happy to have them. I’m made up of meat/rocks and what feels like alien life.
